Our client a developing Private Primary School is seeking for a smart Dormitory/ Boarding House Matron.
The main role to be an adult presence in the House and supervise the health and welfare of the pupils in the dormitory / boarding house
Duties & Responsibilities
- The physical care of the pupils
- Dealing with lost property
- Laundry administration, sorting and mending
- Providing an adult presence during agreed hours and cover in emergencies
- Preparedness to give emotional support to students
- Liaison with other House staff on matters to do with the House/ Dormitory
- Assistance in the smooth running of the House
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing course
- First Aid
- Childcare
- Have a warm and sympathetic personality
- Be tactful and a good listener
- Be firm but fair
- Have a sound knowledge of first aid
- Be practical and keep a cool head in emergencies/ability to deal with emergencies calmly
- Be a team worker
- Be an excellent communicator and ‘people’ skills
- Be discreet and adhere to confidentiality
- Have patience
- Be physically fit
