April 2014 Job for Channel Sales Manager in Nairobi Kenya
Instep Business Solutions (IBS) is looking to recruit a Channel Sales Manager for its client, a dealer in sale of hardware tools and equipment with various retail outlets in the country.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Position Overview: Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will support Direct and Indirect Sales Channels in marketing, promotions, brand management and consistent merchandising standards; develop, manage and implement sales projects that drive acquisition of customers, branding and POS communication across all channels.
- Support achievement of set sales targets i.e. monthly, quarterly, annually through development, effective participation and coordination of sales strategies and activities;
- Develop, supervise, coordinate and participate in sales and promotion programs aimed at market penetration, acquisition and growth;
- Monitor sales and market share and implement strategies to counter downturns;
- Manage the briefing process, day to day evaluation, coordination and control of support agencies in delivering campaigns;
- Manage and grow the agency network;
- Manage marketing support and promotion materials;
- Develop branding communication specific to channels;
- Effectively monitor and control sales programs and projects;
- Execute projects aimed at quality acquisition, growth and retention of customers;
- Analyze research data and their implications to the company;
- Advise on appropriate products for the market;
- Drive customer satisfaction;
- Ensure application of company values on work activities.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business related field
- At least 5 years experience in a Sales Distribution / Channel Execution and Administration
- Experience in planning sales promotions, activations and merchandising activities
- Ability to interact with clients at different levels, and establish & maintain relationships
- Ability to cooperate / liaise with dealers and both internal and external customers
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify market opportunities
- Ability to learn / research on new ways to penetrate the market while growing revenue
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills
