Tender For Provision of Cafeteria/Canteen Services at the IOM Somalia – Nairobi Office

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Somalia, Nairobi Office is looking for a competent service provider to offer catering services for 1 year with an initial 1-month trial and extension subject to service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The caterer will provide breakfast and lunch for an average of 25 Staff Members though this number could increase (as the office has a total of approximately 60) or decrease on a day-to-day basis.

When requested, they will cater staff parties/functions.

It is important to note that food served is paid directly by the customer.

Requirements:-

A pocket-friendly and reasonable price list
Wide variety of food/snacks/beverages on the menu; ability to provide local/international cuisine including HALAL.
Valid Medical Certificates for all persons handling food
Valid Food and Beverage practicing license
Supply kitchen equipment where necessary
Capacity to prepare and deliver packed lunches
Proof and location of current station(s)

Preferable:-

1. A caterer with an established restaurant/catering facility in the area

Others:-

1. The Caterer, in accordance with IOM policy of equal treatment, must treat all staff, and clients at the canteen, equally.

2. Services will only be on first come first served basis.

3. Prices quoted should be inclusive of delivery costs and all taxes and must be expressed in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for (90) days from the closing date of the tender.

4. Quality of goods and services should be maintained throughout the contract. A mid-contract review will be conducted if necessary.

5. International Organization for Migration Staff Canteen Committee will inspect your premises and food to authenticate the above. A site visit to the IOM Somalia Nairobi Office can also be arranged.

6. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked “Provision of Catering Services” and be deposited in the tender box provided at the office reception by Friday 31st January 2014 as per the address below.
