Comprehensive Website Redesign Consultancy Needed at Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) 2014
The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) which was founded in 1992 and registered in Kenya in 1994 with a mandate to entrench human rights and democratic values in the society.
The KHRC envisions a human rights state and society and outlines its mission as to foster human rights, democratic values, human dignity and social justice.
This vision and mission are driven by the goal of enhancing human rights centred governance at all levels from community to international levels.
KHRC seeks to undertake comprehensive re-design of its corporate website (www.khrc.or.ke) to give it a fresh and easy to navigate look and feel.
The redesign should make it more useful as an information, advocacy and interactive engagement tool.
Ultimately we want a more modern look and feel of the website.
Expectations:
The website is expected to have but not limited to the following features:
Front-end
- Improved aesthetics and navigation
- Featured new information eg the most recent KHRC publications and documentaries
- News from the organization including the latest press releases/statements
- Showcase some of our flagships/milestones/achievements
- Integration and interface with social media platforms
- Interface with other KHRC ICT platforms
Back-end
- Transferable database to fit with the current database of the website
- Easy to navigate and upload process
Web design Consultant Profile
- Ability to conceptualize and creatively design an interactive website
- Ability to work with different web design databases
- Proven track record of previous websites developed
Desired attributes
- Ability to synthesize complex ideas into simple ones
- Flexibility
- Ability to work and to deliver within a short period of time
