Our client is a leading doors distribution company based in Dubai.
They are looking for a Business Development Manager for their startup company in Nairobi.
Applicants who have worked with doors manufacturing & trading companies will have an added advantage.

The job purpose for the Business Development Manager is to be responsible will be visiting potential customers, advertising, building up customer’s accounts and promoting the products within exhibitions and other sales events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key duties
  • Campaigning actively to customers in the Kenyan market by visiting potential customers.
  • Advertising, building up customers accounts and promoting the products within exhibitions and other sales events.
  • Create and develop strategies and concepts how to explore and gain the Kenyan market for our products.
  • Approaching key persons in real estate and construction project for business
  • Providing  a daily and weekly update with the regional head office in Dubai
  • Meeting sales targets
  • Approach international as well as local companies and converse and establish a strong customer network for the product.
  • Arranging important meetings with the Regional head manager in Dubai
  • Receiving and implementing specific instructions from the Dubai office
  • Client service and after sales follow up
  • PR & Marketing
Required Qualifications
  • Business or marketing-related degree;
  • At least 3 – 4 years progressive working experience in sales & marketing
  • Experience in developing and maintaining business growth
  • Market research
  • Experience in product launches and branding
  • Customer care skills
  • Strong sales and Communication skills
  • Applicants who have extensive working experience with multinational companies
Personal Traits, Qualities and Aptitudes
  • The candidate should be able to work independently.
  • Be responsible, reliable, trustworthy and a confident person.
  • Be willing to build up the business in Kenya from scratch
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Must be self driven and be able to meet targets
  • High level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and a “can do” attitude
  • Result oriented
  • Works with minimal supervision and stress tolerant
  • Should have a valid driving license but not a must
