Expression of Interest for Provision of Audit Services on Oil & Gas Exploration Companies in Kenya

The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible firms to carry out financial audits on the operations of selected Oil & Gas Exploration Companies; on behalf of the Government of Kenya.

The costs incurred under the exploration stage will in future be submitted to the Government for cost recovery.

The monitoring and audit of operations of Oil & Gas Exploration companies is provided for in the Petroleum Exploration and Production Act CAP 308 of the Laws of Kenya schedule 1.4, subsections 1.4.1 through 1.4.4.

The main purpose of the audit is to carry out the exercise on behalf of the Government as set out in the Production Sharing Contracts.

The objectives of undertaking the financial audits would be among others, to examine and verify all charges and credits relating to the petroleum operations and records necessary to audit and verify the charges and credits.

EOIs in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “Expression of Interest for Provision of Audit Services on Oil & Gas Exploration Companies in Kenya with the instructions “Do not open before 13th November, 2013 at 10.00 am”, should be addressed to:

and deposited in the Tender Box located at Nyayo House, 24th Floor, Uhuru Highway, off Kenyatta Avenue, Nairobi between 0800hrs and 1700hrs (East Africa Time), on or before 13th November 2013 at 10.00 am (East Africa Time).

Late submissions shall automatically be disqualified whatever the circumstances.

Expressions of Interest will be opened soon thereafter at Nyayo House – Large Conference Room, 23rd Floor, Nyeyo House in the presence of renderers’ and/or their representatives who may wish to attend.

The EOI documents are not transferable.

Only short-listed firms will be invited to submit Request for Proposals for the Audit Services for Oil and Gas Exploration Companies in Kenya
