Our client, a new five star hotel, is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • In charge of all food and beverage matters i.e outlets, storage, provision areas, waste disposal and sanitation
  • Ensure public health & hygiene standards are met at all times
  • Conduct simple training & induction for all F&B personnel
  • Monitor work practices in both service and production.
  • Carry out all inspections as outlined in the Hotel Management Manuals and as requested by the Hotel Director
  • Check both all dining areas to ensure they are clean and food is well presented and replenished
  • Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
  • Cost control & following the purchasing procedures strictly
  • Always act in the best interests of the hotel with regard to minimizing costs and maximizing revenue
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in good repair.
  • Supervise instruction on handling of equipment for new employees.
  • Ensure that all waste produced and handled is properly and hygienically disposed
  • Deal with all customer complaints in conjunction with the Hotel Director.
  • Ensure that service in restaurants & bars is carried out according to standards set out in the Hotel Manual
  • Monitor and check all meal service periods
  • F&B to monitor all special parties and functions like Theme Evenings.
  • Effective reporting to superiors
Knowledge & Competencies
  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Management/ Catering from a reputable institution
  • Must have sound knowledge of food & beverage products
  • Must have refined skills in public relations
  • Must have Typing skills, Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Additional: Stock Control System; POS System
  • At least six years in F&B Department in a Management position
  • Kitchen/Stores/Financial background preferred.
  • Must be able to check cost control reports
  • Fully aware of the internal organization of a catering department
