Responsibilities:
• Provide the facility heads with the necessary information for the school budgeting process.
• Manage the school’s receivable and payables in accordance with the approved budget and financial policies.
• Ensure adherence of the school’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain an updated asset register and ensure that school’s property entrusted to individuals is accounted for.
• Provide technical support to the school’s staff with finance related tasks.
• Prepare the school’s monthly financial statements and submit them to the National Office.
• Ensure the adherence of the school’s financial policies and procedures.
Qualification:
• A University Degree from a reputable institution.
• Partial membership of an international accounting professional body such as ACCA, CPA or CIA (at least ACCA level 2 or its equivalent).
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Planning and organising skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Effective communication including reporting skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of a computerised accounting software e.g. Sage Peachtree, Navision or QuickBooks.
