Job Title: Logistics Officer
Position Reporting to: Admin & Procurement Manager
Job Purpose / Summary: Handling local and international logistics to ensure all orders are received in good condition and in a timely manner. continuing to work within WSL procurement and distribution policies and procedures
Key Roles:
- Supervises Logistics contracts with partners
- Relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders involved in the shipping process.
- Manage the processes from pre-shipment inspection to warehouse delivery for all consignments
- Insight into Incoterms and international customs requirements
- Understanding of Regional customs and Revenue authority requirements.
- Files damage claims with freight companies or vendors.
- Prepares periodic reports related to shipping and receiving within the local operation.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or related field.
- Appropriate qualifications in procurement, logistics or related field.
Experience
- 3 – 5 years Experience in logistics, procurement of goods/services and stock management
- Knowledge of procurement and record keeping procedures applicable to purchasing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and vendors.
- Proficiency in MS Projects, Excel, Powerpoint
- Strong negotiation skills.
