Kenya Film Commission (KFC) is a State Corporation mandated to facilitate the development of a vibrant film and television industry in Kenya and to market the country’s filming potential locally and internationally.
The Commission invites competent and qualified production agencies/production houses to indicate their interest in providing services for producing a show reel to celebrate and commemorate 50 years of Kenya’s Independence through a collage of Kenya’s filming and television industry diverse offering over the fifty years, creating a more competitive appeal of Kenya as a unique filming and television location, thereby creating a positive image and build sustainable, long-term demand for Kenyan productions.
Interested firms should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by providing information indicating that they are qualified to perform the required services.
The EOI must be accompanied by the following mandatory requirements:-
1. Company profile, company history, services, affiliations, etc.
2. Certificate of business incorporation/registration
3. A valid tax compliance certificate, PIN and VAT registration certificates
4. Original and copy of the expression of interest documents (i.e. two (2) copies)
5. Provide details of at least three (3) services of similar nature undertaken in the last three (3) years
6. Provide reference letters from at least three (3) organizations where services of similar nature have been undertaken.
7. Demonstrate financial capability in carrying out the assignment by attaching audited accounts for the last three (3) years (i.e. 2010, 2011 and 2012)
8. A proposed methodology ( With the inclusion of a story board and script), plan and schedule of execution
9. List of names and CVs of key personnel and evidence of their professional qualifications
Shortlisted firms will be issued with a request for proposal (RFP) document with specific terms of reference.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) should be submitted in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked KFC/EOI/01/2013-2014 – “Expression of Interest (EOI) for Production of a Documentary of Kenya’s Film and Television Industry since Independence – Kenya at 50 Documentary/Show-reel” and addressed to:-

The sealed envelop must be deposited in the Tender Box at the 2nd Floor, Jumuia Place II situated on Lenana Road, Kilimani Nairobi o as to be received on or before 4th October, 2013 at 12.00 Noon.
Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter at the Kenya Film Commission Board Room in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.
