Apex Steel Ltd is the leading steel manufacturer in Kenya.
The company specializes in Construction and Engineering Steel, Plumbing, Roofing and High Specification Plastics.
The company runs its own Cut to Length ( CTL ) Line, Steel Tube Mill, Steel Rolling Mill and Plastics Manufacturer.
This year has seen records broken with high volumes of products in trade and manufacturing being used across some of Kenya’s biggest construction projects. Apex is on a steady growth plan which includes the East African region.
Apex is now seeking a Technical Sales Representative to be responsible for promoting and demonstrating the company’s products to existing and potential customers with the goal of closing sales while attaining a sales target.
He/she will demonstrate and educate customers on the technical features of all Apex products.
He/she will be responsible for the start-to-end process of the technical selling cycle, including timely quotations, customer meetings and demonstrations, completion of sales reports, customer prospecting and identification of new business opportunities, sales strategic planning, responding to customer inquiries, etc.
This job is for you if
- you possess a degree in a technical discipline;
- Professional training in sales;
- over 5 years successful experience in technical sales especially in the steel industry, building materials or hardware sectors;
- you’re self directed;
- highly motivated;
- strategic thinker;
- Strong computer skills;
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- You must like working in a manufacturing environment.
You must also be a Kenyan national.
