Job vacancy for Warehouse Manager at FMCG in Kenya (KShs 30K – 40K) 2013
Our client is looking for an FMCG Warehouse Manager who shall report to the Production Manager / Director.
Job responsibilities
Liaising with co-workers, the sales team and suppliers
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order of stock required to meet the clients’ demands in supply
Receive goods and check for compliance of the companies request, quantity and quality of the supplies received for both FMCG raw materials and packing material
Ensure that goods/raw material received are delivered at the set price
Ensure that the people within the store have authorization and oversee the supervision of all material going in and out of the store
Ensure goods packed into the sales vehicles or sold to clients at the factory are authorized and signed for
Keep stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy
Ensure that the warehouse is always clean and well organized and that the space is well utilised
Ensure tight security of stores at all times
Ensure that equipment in that department is handled well
Ensuring quality targets as well as budgetary targets are met
Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems
Respond to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone
Assist in the planning of future capacity requirements
Monitoring staff performance and progress
Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Briefing employees on a daily basis
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies
- Must have experience in quality management
- Must have worked in the FMCG industry
- At least 2 years experience in a similar managerial position
- Strategic thinking capacity, excellent analytical, problem solving, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to interact at a high level with clients, senior management and authorities
- Ability to work effectively with/ and lead a team
- Excellent reporting skills
- Dedicated and self motivated
- Have good integrity
