A leading fuel transporter in the East African region is looking for a Sales & Marketing Executive to be stationed in Eldoret.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in design of appropriate market research projects that address key business issues. Present research results, translating statistical data into recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Liaise with the Sales & Marketing Manager in evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor activities and implement marketing plans

Liaise with the Sales & Marketing Manager to identify customer/market needs and develop value propositions to meet the needs

Define criteria and methodology to rate and target all market players
Collects and analyze information on potential customers, competitors, and industry partners as well as overall market and regulatory dynamics
Prepares regular reports on Sales and Marketing and present the same to the Business Development Manager
Open up new markets and monitor growth progress
Assessing the company’s capability to serve most attractive segment where the company will create most value for customers and chooses the segments to focus on
Anticipate areas where there is a risk of dissatisfaction, identify actions and processes to implement to avoid problems, and validate them with the customers
Define and implement action plans to restore/raise sales revenues and the confidence of the whole customer base
Liaise with the Sales & Marketing Manager in preparing Sales & Marketing budgets and develop promotional and sales support materials
Increase market share in existing markets and maximizes new business development opportunities
Achieves targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Sales and marketing
  • Four (3) years progressive work experience, two (2) of which should be in marketing petroleum products and pushing for petrol station sales
  • Experience carrying out market survey in petroleum sector
  • Experience in ISO implementation will be an added advantage
  • Team player
  • Excellent supervisory skills
