Our client is a new and upcoming company dealing in Glass.
The company is looking for a Construction Officer.
The job of the construction officer is to turn the designers’ plans into fully functional pieces of equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Efficiently and effectively work to construct quality products in a timely, complete and profitable manner.
- Work with sales as a team to market the product and offer explanations to customers
- Work in a team to develop a program of work and strategy for making a project happen.
- Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, for example, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials
- Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety and the environment are adhered to
- Using construction management software packages to plan smooth work flows
- Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management
- Two (2) years experience in construction or structural engineering fields
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Good written/verbal communication skills
- Systems knowledge and familiarity
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task
