We seek to recruit a performance-oriented individual with strong people management skills to fill the position of a Senior Supervisor Stores.
This position is based in Thika.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure integrity of the store and constantly exploring innovative ways of achieving operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives goods and oversee insurance of stock and inventory control.
  • Oversee monthly and annual stock taking.
  • Managing of stocks and monitoring of goods through the existing processes and systems.
  • Inspects the materials before receiving and takes proper plan to put the materials in the store.
  • Gathers information about the vendors and verifies the receipt and issuance of materials.
  • Ensure all records of all stocks movements are achieved thereby ensuring reliable data.
  • Ensure compliance on health and safety requirements by following guidelines on safety in the work-place.
  • Serve as the key resource for all departmental activities.
  • Ensure that there is adequate safeguard of all inventories and assets.
  • Facilitate all movement into and out of company stores are accurately captured, documented, reconciled and accounted for.
  • Review redundant/obsolete inventory and action accordingly.
  • Promote a safe working environment.
  • Facilitate and explain variances during and after stock count.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree holder in purchasing and supplies management or business degree from a recognised institution.
  • A professional qualification in purchasing and supplies management will be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years working experience in inventory management.
  • Must be able to coordinate and supervise people.
  • Must be a person of proven integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills possessing the ability to work with teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work without close supervision.
