Registrar Position
Tom Mboya Labour College College – Kisumu
Tom Mboya Labour College is fully owned by the Central Organisation of Trade Unions, Kenya (COTU (K) and registered under the Ministry of Higher Education, invites applications for the above post.
 
Key Responsibilities

S/he will be answerable to and work in close collaboration with the Principal.

  • Ensure organisation’s conformity and alignment to the Government regulations, identifying gaps and mitigating them.
  • Identify training opportunities and capacity building for workers.
  • Create awareness amongst new and existing employees.
  • S/he will be involved in the design, implementation and assessment of all College courses and curriculum requirements.
  • Help in implementing the institution’s strategic development plan, marketing and growth strategies.
  • Responsibility for the administrative operations in the Registrar’s office.
  • Supervision and registration of new students including the maintenance of permanent academic records of each course participant.
Candidate’s Profile and Qualifications
  • 1st degree Social Sciences/Education/Business/Human Resource or Labour Management relations from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in a related field would be an added advantage.
  • 5 – 8 years teaching experience with at least 2 years working in a similar position or as head of a training institution.
  • Proven extensive involvement with or experience in the labour movement and/or trade union affairs.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Thorough knowledge of Kenya’s Labour Laws.

Salary
The salary attached to this position is competitive.
