Property Manager Job Opening in Kenya 2013
Reporting To: The Group Property Director
Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all the physical assets (Land & Buildings) of the Group of Companies are:
- Properly and efficiently maintained
- Fully leased and occupied at all times
- Prudently secured at all times
- Documented and regular reports made on their status.
Manage all related properties owned by the Group.
- stablish the Local/ Regional Rental Rate by surveying local rates
- Calculate overhead costs and depreciation of properties
- Calculate property taxes and profit goals for all properties
- Negotiate leases and renewals and preparing contracts for tenants.
- Investigating and resolving tenants complaints
- Enforcing rules of occupancy
- Planning renovations and repairs of all properties
- Conducting daily/weekly inspections on all properties.
- Rental income versus costs of maintenance
- Data and trends of real estate and making analysis of that information
- Be a team player with excellent communication skills
- Have good analytical and problem solving skills.
Educational / Professional Qualifications & Work Experience
- Minimum experience: 4 – 5 years’ experience in the Management of properties
- B.A. Land Economics from a recognized university
- Be an Associate or Full Member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Honest, well organized and demonstrate a high level of integrity
- Have a valid driving license.
