The incumbent will specifically be responsible for the following:
| Participate in the formulation and administration of company policies and the development of long range goals and objectives;
| Direct and coordinate activities of departments;
| Review and analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine departments progress toward stated goals and objectives;
| Confer with CEO and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions;
| Provide clear leadership for development of the business;
| Inspire company performance, instill the mission and goals, and set the stage for the acquisition, retention, and management of superior talent throughout the organization.
| Drive continuous change and flexibility in the organization, while at the same time instituting discipline and rigor in daily business operations;
| Lead the Business team to develop, implement and execute a sound strategic plan designed to achieve growth and profitability goals;
| Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and sales programs to facilitate accelerated growth and profitability;
| Be the local company’s “link” to major customers, alliance partners and other stakeholders;
| Drive the company’s strategy to generate a much greater proportion of its revenues through the customer channel;
| Manage existing channel relationships, identify and build relationships with new partners to ensure that the company meets its revenue targets with the appropriate split of direct/indirect sales;
| Oversee the installation of a clearly defined process and methodology into the sales and business development organizations;
| Create accountability for forecasting and delivery, along with establishing and managing the appropriate visibility into the sales pipeline;
| Take direct and hands-on responsibility of sales programs in order to deliver ambitious revenue and profit targets as agreed, while ensuring that a stable infrastructure is created to service the business as it grows;
| Manage processes and procedures in line with the current regulations on corporate governance.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- The individual must be an Ethiopian Citizen.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field;
- Two (2) to four (4) years working experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrate a track record of changing and improving a sales organization by personal leadership;
- Demonstrate effective people leadership;
- Successful general management experience in a software and services environment within an emerging marketplace Polished presentation skills ;
- Experience of enterprise software sales environments with a mixed model of direct and indirect sales;
- Successful track record as a top-line oriented general manager with full P&L responsibility gained in a quarterly earnings driven software business;
- International expertise and a track record of leadership in a well-regarded business with international sales, business development, support infrastructure and capability;
- Strong track record of hiring, retaining and motivating highly talented people.
